Scream 7 is not just the best RECENT sequel, but it’s probably one of the best in this whole franchise. It’s such a love letter to Sidney Prescott & the original movie that as a diehard Scream fan, it’s hard not get choked up watching it. There’s so much to take in. The roots of the SCREAM franchise started in the mid-90s. SCREAM is what got me into the horror genre. I'm not gonna boycott something that was started by a man who is now dead, but still responsible for my love of the genre. There are other ways to speak out against things, and I don't think the way people are going about it makes any fucking sense. Scream 5 was such a throwaway movie to boot. It SUCKED. Idk if this rant made any sense, but idgaf. Happy Friday the 13th!!

I was a true fan for over a decade. I saw the last three movies at the theatre. But turns out, not supporting a franchise who fired their lead actress for being against genocide is more important to me than being a "true" fan. But human decency might be a foreign concept to you.
