@NiqVelji @miketgould Their depth is well ahead of Vancouver’s, but neither side has the elite top end in their prospect pool yet.
I would also say that it’s relatively clear that Gridin is currently the most dynamic U23 NHLer on eithet team.

The difference is that the Canucks were already really bad pretty much every year they had Hughes. They only made the playoffs twice when they had him, whereas the Flames have had farther to fall.
Now, we're here, and Calgary has a significantly better pool of future assets.

@FlamesNation @GMCcanada You just named a bunch of middling prospect on a team that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2022 LOL. Van just left their Hughes window 3 months ago and had similar pieces to Cgy who left their Gaudreau/Tkachuk window in 2022 😭😭
