@AJENews I think this was done at the request of the EU and let's be fair, it is good for everyone. Some say "everyone" will include Iran too & that is horrible but we are all on this same ship. The EU doesn't like Iran on the ship at all, but hey! that is how we all live on this planet.

This is an emergency band-aid, not a strategy. The 130–140 million barrels afloat buys perhaps two weeks of relief globally. The real scenario depends entirely on how quickly can the Strait of Hormuz be reopened? Until that happens, no amount of reserve releases or sanction waivers fundamentally changes the supply crunch.

well, US sanctions on any country are simply illegal. so you can't "unsanction" something that's already illegal. no single country or group of countries has the right or authority to impose collective punishment on an entire nation, because of political, religious or ideological differences. countries around the world must ignore these illegal sanctions and carry on business as usual with Iran or any other "sanctioned" country, for that matter.
