Defending ZANU PF even amidst an avalanche of stories from ordinary Zimbabweans. Disrespecting me personally. Nota Baloyi: Repeatedly disrespecting me personally, my family, & lying about my personal life. Rob Hersov: Calling me a black racist for trying to hold rich White ppl to account for our economic situation, & doing an anti-South Africa podcast tour in America, littered with lies. Ernst van Zyl: Afriforum's politics, propaganda & shenanigans with Trump have left a very bitter taste in my mouth. He, Kallie Kriel & other leaders are hell-bent on wanting America to crucify South Africa as a whole. Gareth Cliff: Seemingly also riding the Trump train to make it seem like White SAns are under attack, & undertones of undermining Black people in general. Ernst Roets: Keeping up the false propaganda of White ppl being under attack in SA. Keeping quiet while Jordan Peterson spoke shit about Black SAns. Campaigning to punish ordinary SAns. There are a few others, but I'll stop here. I understand that people have agendas. I understand that people have opinions. But, as an individual, I'm also allowed to have agendas & opinions... and when we're not aligned or I sense disrespect or blatant lies, I tend to move away. I could easily sit with these guys & argue with them for views, but that's not what I'm about. And I'm happy to not engage them directly because it won't achieve wanting. I've seen this via engagements we've had online. Those who support them are free to do so. And watch them on other platforms, with other hosts/guests. We're all not the same, of course. There are other guests I'm not too sure of that I'm thinking of not sitting with again. And potential guests I've removed from my wish list. With all that, I'll move forward & continue doing work aligned with my views & values. And be upfront when that's not the case. 🙏🏽
