@s65943 Your still buying from them even if you get it from elsewhere, unless you homebrew (which they will brick your console for) they have involvement no matter what in the process. if you buy a game from idk GOG for example on the steam machine then steam would have zero involvement

@4Axis_ The paid online subscription was Jewbox's fault. You can buy Nintendo games elsewhere, and even get a discount. I buy them there.

@Armsfan_main You need to buy online for any game you pay for even if its not made by Nintendo and doesn't use their servers, I should've clarified that you don't need online for free games but if anything I think the fact its a requirement on paid games is worse

@4Axis_ Online is only half right as you only need to pay for Nintendo official servers, any third party Online game doesn't need the subscription

@SMOOTHIIl ill admit the price of the controller is high to say the least however considering that the steam machine has full support for DualShock, Dualsense, Xbox controllers and Joycons i think it makes sense to allow you to buy the console without the controller
