@MatQBoes Azrael was a cool concept but I don't think it went anywhere for me. Had a few issues but it kinda faded out during those comic bundles. Lost in the mix.

@ABleedingCorpse I totally agree. The two 90s characters I think deserve a real in depth revival are Azrael and Jubilee.

Tonight I read Harry a Mr Freeze comic and I didn’t know how swole he was now. Also, I love when they draw Batman with the gigantic ears.

@ABleedingCorpse I’ve read that John Paul Valley was basically them doing a riff on “this is what an over the top, 90s xtreme Batman would look like” and if so, they were very self aware. Lately I’ve been reading the Chuck Dixon Robin comics from that era and they’re so comforting.

@ABleedingCorpse I love any comic from that era. Image and Marvel and DC just trying to out X-Treme eachother. My favorite crazy shit like the clone saga and knightquest and Superman dying and coming back as two dudes....😘👌🏻

@MatQBoes I just remember this era of Batman comics and knew it was mid-90s. Its just a distinctive style for that time

@ABleedingCorpse 1997! Well observed. It’s one of Paul Dino’s, I imagine trying to get his different tv continuities into the comic. I just really love when an artist draws cartoony. I don’t like when the comic literally looks like a still from a cartoon, but I prefer Impressionism to realism.
