To say banks adopt tech slowly misses the mark. They adopt tech *strategically*, often waiting for others to prove its worth. AI isn't causing layoffs; it's providing cover for cost-cutting measures already planned. The real question is, what will these banks do when AI actually *does* become indispensable?

banks are cute like clearly they're using ai just as an excuse for layoffs.. but it's like they don't think we all know that banks adopt tech the slowest

@rikki_5 AI training is becoming a job itself, offering new income streams.

I wish we could just use AI for the good parts and not go absolutely batshit crazy psycho with it but I guess that’s just too much to ask. That said, I’m seeing ads paying humans to train AI on their jobs for 75$ an hour 🤔
