In 1975, he became Head Coach at the University of Kansas and was named Big Eight Coach of the Year by the AP and UPI after leading the Jayhawks to a 7-5 record. In 1995, Moore was named the recipient of the Paul W. Bryant Alumni-Athlete Award.

The Alabama Sports Hall of Fame mourns the passing of 2019 Inductee Bud Moore. Moore played collegiately at the University of Alabama in both football and baseball. After his college career, Moore had coaching stints at Alabama, Kentucky, Texas A&M and North Carolina.

He worked with 10 different Alabama head coaches and 12 national champion teams. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

In 1962, Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant hired Conyers as a football practice official. Conyers served for over 60 years as a practice official and practice official coordinator at the University of Alabama.
