Morphology is the study of the different parts of a word: prefix, root, suffix. The Aspire Science group were looking at these to help 'decode' some science vocabulary. We also learnt how etymonline.com is a great site to explore the origin of a word.

Aspire Science discussed how important scientific literacy is, as it provides a context for addressing societal problems. Being science-literate means we can better cope with problems, making intelligent and informed decisions that will ultimately affect the quality of our lives.

Aspire Learning will be giving out awards soon for those students who are really working hard within their Aspire sessions for English, Maths and science. Watch this space! 👀
