La única base real de la película es el escenario: la ciudad de Nome, Alaska. En este remoto lugar sí se registró un número inusualmente alto de desapariciones durante décadas. Sin embargo, una investigación oficial del FBI determinó que la causa real de estas desapariciones se debió a una combinación de alcoholismo y clima extremo.

@BeAfraid_Horror Unfortunately no. I just saw it with my bf. It’s a spectacle. But I couldn’t connect emotionally with any character. And I know of MOU but didn’t watch any of the shows or previous movie. My bf knew NOTHING and we both were sadly disappointed.

Would I enjoy this movie even if I didn't grow up with the cartoon and don't know much about it?
