Looks like turnout figures in Scottish election could range between 50-60% if not less. These type of figures in no way gives a mandate for Indy. If nearly half of Scotland can’t be bothered voting you can’t use this election as a barometer.

Scotland only doesn’t have a deficit because Westminster fills the black hole created by your reckless tax-and-spend polices. On day one of independence you’d need to start funding that deficit yourself: an incredible 12% of your GDP. How would you do it? Issue gilts (or kilts) in groats?
