What do I bring to a symphony review meeting? Recordings, score, & coloring pages, colored by my 4-year-old grand daughter. Oh-& coloring pages & crayons for everyone. That's me-busting up the traditional view of what meetings should be like. Bring crayons to your next meeting.

#fedex #fail FedEx driver left a large package of documents down the road, leaning against a tree instead of delivering to our porch. We were leaving for overnight and happened to see it as we were leaving. Others get it to the safety of our porch. Bad job!!

I can announce it now! The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has commissioned me to write an entire concert for their "My DSO Concert" series. I'm humbled that this prestigious symphony orchestra has chosen me to take on this musical event. #theunicornsbirthday

I've had to keep a lid on some stuff for a couple of months. Tomorrow, I get to announce one of the big, cool things that is coming up for me as a composer. I've been squirming with excitement!

I'm so excited about the 22-23 symphony season in Dallas! I can't say who or when yet, but I'm finalizing agreements for TWO concerts with two DIFFERENT symphonies/concerts composed by me. I'm happy dancing right now. This is going to be fun! More details soon. #familyfun

I'm having productive discussions with a major US symphony to create another concert from scratch. The writing starts like this picture. Empty measures for a full symphony orchestra on the screen. In other words, I don't have any notes yet. They will come. I have lots of ideas.

30 years ago today, Barney® and Friends was broadcast on PBS for the first time. I was the music director. What I remember most are the people that I worked with and loved, and the gift it was to work on a show with a core message of imagination and love. #barneythedinosaur
