some big news to share: Yuga Labs has acquired the Unreal Engine–based creator platform that powers Otherside from Improbable, and negotiated a perpetual license to Improbable’s high concurrency tech for Otherside. Along with the tech, many of the engineers and developers who we’ve worked with for years at Improbable are joining Yuga in the new year. This is us doubling down on a simple goal: to build the best creator platform in crypto. A place where anyone can build worlds, games, and experiences that are massively multiplayer, composable, and shippable at the click of a button. All on open rails, with real ownership and real economies. Bringing the platform and the team fully in-house lets us move much faster, iterate harder, and invest long-term in Otherside and the creators building on it. More soon.

Kinda feel played and deceived tonight by @yugalabs in regards to the @OthersideMeta launch today. I have invested alot with them and think I deserve straight answers when I ask questions on projects since I have been a vocal supporter and large investor in their company. At Apefest I asked @CryptoGarga and @GordonGoner to their face about Nexus and they looked me direct in the eyes and said don’t worry it would be good. Never once did they say it was going to be THIS GOOD. It’s absolutely incredible. It’s at a level not seen before in Web 3 history. @mfigge you crushed it brother. You just cemented your legacy as one of the BEST of all time. Could not be more proud of you family and the entire Yuga team 🙏

Man, that was really an incredible weekend. Thank you to everyone who flew out to Vegas to come hang with us, listen to some great music, see some internet frens, and gamble like degenerates. Thank you to everyone at Yuga who made this ape fest such a flawless experience. And thank you especially to everyone who came up and said hi and wished me well. It meant a lot and I was stoked all night just seeing old faces and meeting new friends. There is nothing like this club anywhere. Every single time, five ape fests down now, I hear the same thing from new members and their +1’s: ‘I get it now.’ Going to spend the next two weeks recovering. Lost my voice and everything fucking hurts, but I think it was worth it. Hard to describe, but seeing everyone really re-energized me and reminded me of what I need to do and why. Had to reinstall X just to make this post, and now I’m deleting it again and focusing everything I have on healing up in 2026 so I can get back to doing what I want more than anything, which is to help build weird and fun shit on the Internet for this community. In the meantime, I couldn’t be more proud of Garga, Figge, Cam, and everyone building in this ecosystem. I think 2026 is going to be a great year. Love you all.
