Vow! 👀 Here in Southern India, kids are burdened to take Hindi as third language, but in Northern India kids have only two languages to learn, why such discrimination!! How many states in the north has 3 language rule? Let northern states also implement 3 language rules. Considering the fact that most of the people are migrating to South India in search of better education, job, and lifestyle, it makes sense to include any of south indian languages in the curriculum of northern Indian states. So, when they migrate to south India later on, there won't be any issue due to language. Hindi isn't our national language, Period. India has several official languages, but not a single national language.

@BeardedRedDevil To get a job in some European countries like Germany, it’s mandatory to learn their language so many people go for a 3 month course. How about a rule like that, if you want to get posted in southern states? A crash course will help migrants connect with local vendors too !!

@BeardedRedDevil I studied in Punjab. Here we had 3 languages: hindi, English and Punjabi, upto 5th class. After that we had a choice between the two. English was compulsory. So total 2 languages upto 10th. How was it in your state?

That forceful imposition bit has gone to a whole different level these days.. The one who move here fight with local vendors / farmers who sell vegetables, if they don't know Hindi, as locals they aren't obliged to know Hindi as their mother tongue would be local language and that's enough for them to live ala.

@BeardedRedDevil And when i studied in the north too, i had to study the local language/sanskrit and Hindi. It’s not that deep imo. Knowing languages is not a bad thing, i get the imposition bit, but it only makes someone that much more open to perspectives

Exactly, Thanks for agreeing!✌🏾 Hindi has already killed several regional languages in the north, over 25+ including Pahari, Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Rajasthani, Braj, Bundeli, Garhwali, Kumaoni, Magahi, Marwari, Chattisgarhi, Santhali, Angika, Ho, Kharia, Khortha, Kurmali, Kurukh, Mundari, etc and we won't let that happen in South India.
