Ok I don’t seem to see @tbpn on my feed as often as a few weeks ago Is it possible X penalizes them for being bought by a competitor? Just curious The views still seem large. They’ve just … dropped off my feed. Hmmm

Lots of companies are now building primitives for an economy where AI agents are the primary users instead of humans. They're betting on an economy of AI coworkers. 1. AgentMail (@agentmail): so agents can have email accounts 2. AgentPhone (@tryagentphone): so agents can have phone numbers 3. Kapso (@andresmatte): so agents can have WhatsApp phone numbers 4. Daytona (@daytonaio) / E2B (@e2b): so agents can have their own computers 5. Browserbase (@browserbase) / Browser Use (@browser_use) / Hyperbrowser (@hyperbrowser): so agents can use web browsers 6. Firecrawl (@firecrawl): so agents can crawl the web without a browser 7. Mem0 (@mem0ai): so agents can remember things 8. Kite (@GoKiteAI) / Sponge (@PayspongeLabs) : so agents can pay for things. 9. Composio (@composio): so agents can use your SaaS tools 10. Orthogonal (@orthogonal_sh) so agents can access APIs easily 11. ElevenLabs (@ElevenLabs) / Vapi (@Vapi_AI) so agents can have a voice 12. Sixtyfour (@sixtyfourai) so agents can search for people and companies. 13. Exa (@ExaAILabs): so agents can search the web (Google doesn’t work for agents) If you stitch all of these together, you get a digital coworker that looks more human than AI.

AI is quietly deprecating GitHub. Agents do not need branches, PRs, or CI/CD rituals. They want to ship code straight to the cloud. The rsync renaissance is here. High availability. Zero bloat. Faster loops.

I think the concept of building a Software Factory is now a commonplace expectation. Yay. The winner still isn’t clear but whoever does the best job reimagining the software development lifecycle in a world of agents, AI, expert knowledge, tribal knowledge and business expectations can build a really good and useful product for the world. It’s early days but I think 8090’s Software Factory is on the right track.

The bottleneck has so quickly moved from code generation to code review that it is actually a bit jarring. None of the current systems / norms are setup for this world yet.

35% of companies already have AI agents deployed. Another 44% are planning to. And MIT Sloan's research says even the ones on the cutting edge don't fully understand how to use them. That gap is where most of the risk — and most of the opportunity — lives right now. Agents aren't chatbots. They perceive, reason, act, and complete multi-step tasks with minimal human input. They call APIs, send money, book things, close loops. The companies winning aren't the ones who adopted fastest. They're the ones who adopted with a strategy.

The question your customer has at 11 PM on a Tuesday will not wait until Wednesday morning. They'll Google it. Find a competitor's help doc. Start wondering if they picked the wrong tool. Your AI agent should be there instead.
