I’m Sam (nickname), a lifelong Louisiana native, a full-time worker, and a grandmother giving everything I have to co-raise my two beautiful grandchildren, ages 5 and 7, one who is autistic. Navigating the world of autism and holding down the fort while my son works nights is a challenge, but I wouldn't change it for the world, I will never give up on these children like their mother did. I have walked through some of life’s deepest valleys, including losing both my daughter and my fiancé, who was killed in action in Iraq. Those scars are a part of me, but they’ve also taught me how to survive. I'm returning to this platform with a clean slate and a fresh perspective, hoping to leave the past behind to focus on the things that bring me joy: my art and my lifelong passion for politics. Raised by a politician, it's been in my DNA since childhood, and I'm ready to bring that energy to the Patriot Warriors.
