@Catlover10000S This is simply not true. Most of the general audience do not care about the Sequels in 2026. Ask your friends, co-workers, family etc. Again, if that would be the case, why have they watched Andor in 2022 and 2024? The Sequels didn't have as much of an impact on SW as you think.

Franchise Suicide. I've analyzed the patterns. The Force Awakens was a soulless remake that answered no questions. The Last Jedi had a small chance to right the ship and it almost looked they would from watching the trailer. But then you watch the movie and its just such a horrendous piece of shit you hate everything that ever will connect to it. There are fans who cannot enjoy watching real star wars anymore because of the direction of the sequel trilogy. TLJ shit on everything before it, and now tainted the franchise as a whole for them. The Last Jedi destroyed the fandom and the franchise...
The Jedi Who Knew Too Much@Boongo_15

@Catlover10000S Am I denying that? There is a pattern that should be analyzed. Everyone can see that, especially Disney. But, I’m not going to reduce it to a cheap, grifter narrative about the ST. It's more than that. It's MUCH more than that. I'm shocked that you Prequel fans don't see this.

@Catlover10000S You defend TCW because it was unfinished? Now that's interesting. Why not do the same with Mando&Grogu? The vast majority of fans were not satisfied with the Prequels when they were released. They grew on people over time. The Mando example referred to the SHOW, not the movie.

The animation was kinda wonky and incomplete. Majority of fans already were satisfied with prequels end and Clone Wars stories we had already. And funny you bring up Mando when that shows the biggest examples of diminished returns. People loved it, now they don't care about it.
The Jedi Who Knew Too Much@Boongo_15

@Catlover10000S Quick examples - If the Prequels were so much better, then why was TCW movie a flop? If TROS was such a 'disaster' then why was Mando (and other shows) such a big hit on streaming? If Holiday Special 'destroyed SW' then why were the next movies iconic? It doesn't work this way.

@Catlover10000S Andor came out after the Sequels. Rogue One came out after The Force Awakens. Shadow Lord came out after the Sequels. Mando&Grogu came out after the Sequels. Am I missing something?

First get your timelline correct then we will talk....
The Jedi Who Knew Too Much@Boongo_15

@Catlover10000S If everything is a result of the Sequels (according to you), then why was Andor a success? Why was Rogue One a success? Why was Shadow Lord a success? All these project, like Mando&Grogu, have NOTHING in common with the ST. Just start thinking and stop pushing a lazy narrative.

@PublicationOrdr I agree with the lore aspect and the new characters. I guess the main issue for me was the execution. I would prefer if they had an actual experienced screenwriter with Filoni being just the storyteller. Some of the scenes were also not well shot. I hope that changed in S2.

@Boongo_15 Seeing the furthest point in the timeline will be exciting! I don't think Ahsoka can be characterised as cheap fan service. There was lots of new original lore that really deepened the series, as well as great new characters like Baylan and Shin.

Have to admit, I'm more excited for Ahsoka season 2 (Thrawn, the score, Anakin, Ackbar, Baylan, Shin, Ezra, Sabine) than Starfighter (Shawn Levy, another kid & initially reluctant protector story when Mando, Kenobi, & The Bad Batch have already done so brilliantly).

No one will ever convince me that Attack of the Clones is even close to The Last Jedi in terms of film quality. Love this movie and have great memories, but it's just not good as a film.

For the hundredth time, the Sequels have nothing to do with Mando's Box Office performance. The movie is just not good and not interesting enough. Look at other Star Wars stuff. Mandalorian was a big hit and it came out right after TROS. Stop blaming the ST for Disney's mistakes.
Dark Meld Depot-SW@Catlover10000S

Lmao, yall are gonna wait till the date and then some to accept the fact that the sequels are awful movies hated by the fandom for destroying the franchise forever. Make no mistake, mandalorian and grogu movie is feeling the consequences if the sequels today. It fought the absolute hardest battle I've ever seen a movie fight to just break even (which I'm not actually sure it's done yet.)

@Mando3Updates I've been saying this since day one. The decision not to include Boba Fett in this movie was a terrible one. You literally telling a story about Hutts, Mandalorians, and Bounty Hunters. Like what the hell.

Just started rewatching The Clone Wars and there is genuinely no way that Dooku thought he could get away with blatantly assassinating King Katuunko like that

@CaptainLore_ I don't think so. George was always honest with his storytelling. He made what he wanted to make. All these grifters you see nowadays complaining about Disney would probably be VERY dissapointed with his SW movie. They actually think that he would 'respect' the old EU.

@Boongo_15 It wouldn't work because no matter how bad it is people will performatively love it because George made it

Sometimes I wish George Lucas would create a Star Wars show or movie in 2026 so that half the fandom would lose its narrative.
