He thinks giving a meal to impoverished children is entitlement. He thinks kids getting nutrition and a chance at life is a demented concept and a waste of public money 🙏🏽 Padma Shri Garikipati warns governments about wasting money on children who probably won’t even have interest in education because they are more interested in food at school. “Let them pack their own lunch, buy their own uniforms & books and come and sit in classes if they are really interested in education. After you feed them there are many who complain about quality of the food. I tell the policy makers in both states to not waste money on these schemes for voter appeasement”, he was seen saying without an iota of shame. And people who are clapping - they are the enablers of such nonsense. A man who was conferred a Padma Shri doesn’t understand RIGHT TO FOOD or Supreme Court directives or how midday meal stops child labour or aides education. Or even the basic human concepts of hunger and poverty!!! I am not surprised by Garikipati’s elitist comments. He is famously known for his casteist, elitist, patriarchal speeches. WHY DO POOR CHILDREN NEED FOOD probably is now the top most nonsensical statement by Garikipati Narasimha Rao. But he will get away with it and people will still invite him as chief guest and felicitate him. Because we have educated idiots who celebrate such twisted views.
