For all of those errors and what are seen as lies, we are sorry. Going forward we will be making changes so this does not happen again.

Also we owe a massive apology to @hacks4pancakes, who had absolutely nothing to do with the event whatsoever, was not even in attendance, yet has been fielding a huge brunt of the feedback because she’s such a trusted & safe person for so many, and she’s proving it yet again.

We have so many cohorts in this local community to support me and us in this work that we really have no choice in becoming an even better organization, and its members have no choice but to become better people or GTFO. (7/7)

This event has gone a long way towards teaching us what it means to be an ally vs. simply just not being a shitty person, and going forward I'm personally striving to be more active in my allyship. (6/7)

but we should have done better at maintaining a less-offensive environment, and certainly not rewarding the opposite. Should we decide to host again next year, we’ll be sure to expect a level of decency from those who join. (3/3)

the event was full of laughs love and the only problem individual the organizers were informed of was swiftly removed and banned. Since this is always an informal event we have no control over who or what shows up, (2/3)

TL;DR: The BYOB contest is always based on engineering effort. We should have thought twice and considered some sort of disqualification instead of just asking everyone to please beat this badge out. Outside of this, (1/3)
