It's my only brother's birthday today. He's not on X so I can say what I want. I love him. Spent my first 19 yrs together having fun, causing trouble. Life happened. Then, maybe for the last 5 yrs, we chat, along with our sis every day. We wisecracked then. We wisecrack now.

I just got your hug. I can't thank you enough. We are laying together on the floor and he is resting comfortably. He had roast chicken for dinner with his meds. We're going to take the weekend and face things when the new week begins. It'll be a tough birthday for me, but knowing I can take care of him has eased my mind. Thank you, my dear friend. 🫂💔🫂❤️‍🩹XX

Thsnk you. They really are. He is my best friend and I don't know what I'm going to do without him. We're taking the weekend to rest. We will reassess come next week. He isn't in pain and he's still eating and drinking and doing what dogs do. He's been doing okay-ish with help, but today he can't get up or stand unaided at all of a sudden. He's a big guy, so that's very difficult. It rips my heart out because he is still happy.

@CBwordstuff I'm so sorry to hear that. Dogs can be so much better than people in so many ways. I hope he's able to feel better soon.

@JimboFeenstra Thank you. 🫂 He was doing okay-ish with lots of help, but suddenly, he's gotten a lot worse, strength-wise. I thought I had more time. 🥺😣 We have the weekend. We'll see how things are on Monday and reassess the situation.
