New research funded by @NDAIreland on the scale and impact of physical disability in people experiencing homelessness in Ireland highlights the importance of universally designed accommodation.

Aoife Mitchell, Scott Couch, Glenn O’Sullivan, Natalia Melnicka and Simone Daranyi from Biomedical Engineering, @tcddublin, won our Commercialisation Award for their project Adjustomy which is a first-of-its-kind tool that integrates both the measuring and cutting of ostomy bags.

Leah Shanahan from the School of Design, @UL , won our People’s Choice Award and Product & Services Award for her project AMY which aims to make pregnancy tests accessible to all by adopting a three-senses approach to communicate results.

Tonight’s #UDGC keynote speaker is Kevin Horan, Head of Design @HSE. He works with multidisciplinary teams spanning research, design, technology, infrastructure, communications and customer experience to help people navigate their care and the health system. #UniversalDesign
