@Darren_Mooney I mean in fairness I do think there are two masterpieces here as well as one film, I will defend as a vast improvement over its predecessor due to not having Matthew Broderick, and having Caleb Deschanel. I will agree the rest is garbage though.

frustrate me that female fans get erased in this conversation when they were the first ones to embrace Lucas’ direction with Anakin. I feel similarly about the claim that anyone who dislikes old Luke just wants a power fantasy. Maybe we just miss empathetic and kind Luke?

In a new hope, the force theme is 100% Obi-Wan‘s theme. Does that mean it’s being miss applied when REY or SABINE or Ezra use the force for the first time? Of course not. The meaning evolved Associating that theme with MAUL doesn’t erase TPM‘s meaning.

One first of all, people characterizing him as AUT of the show or bad batch or the second and third tales kind of erase the actual writers of the show. I love him and consider him a grade AUT but just not of those things. And two a theme can have multiple meanings 1/2.
