@CathEmza
Just a ๐ป๐ฆCatholic man trying to find his place in the world. โPray, hope, and donโt worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.โ

A quick text I sent to a friend who has decided to become Catholic, and asked a question about how to explain faith/works to their spouse (please pray for them):
โOne way I like to summarize this is: Catholic and historic Christian belief is that we are โsavedโ fully if and only if we hear โwell done, good and faithful servantโ from Our Lord Himself.
In the parable of the talents, Our Lord gives gifts to various workers (which they could not earn themselves), and they each end up in heaven or hell based on whether they produced fruit from those gifts.
Itโs not about โearningโ salvation (which we can never do); itโs about responding in love to the transformative gifts given to us by Christ. And in every age, the saints and martyrs have ALL believed that if we receive this giftโwhich transforms us and makes us a new creatureโand do not persist in obeying Christ until the end (which is only possible BECAUSE He has transformed us, through no works of our own)โthen we will be lost.โ

The Final Day of Saint Joseph Posting for March
Father, you entrusted our Savior to the care of St. Joseph.
By the help of his prayers may your Church continue to serve its Lord, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.
Amen
