The United Kingdom loves to invoke international law and the UN Charter when criticizing the US-led strikes on Iran in 2026, yet it conveniently ignores the same rules when the UN itself has repeatedly declared that the Malvinas/Falklands constitute a colonial situation requiring a negotiated solution. General Assembly Resolution 2065 (1965) and the latest C24 decolonization committee resolution from June 2025 explicitly recognize the sovereignty dispute between Argentina and the UK and call for bilateral negotiations to resolve it peacefully, bearing in mind the interests (not the veto power) of the inhabitants. Self-determination does not apply here because the current population consists of British settlers transplanted after Britain illegally expelled Argentine authorities by force in 1833, a classic case of colonial dismemberment where territorial integrity prevails—as the ICJ affirmed in the 2019 Chagos opinion. Argentina has never renounced its legitimate inheritance from Spain under uti possidetis juris, and it continues to offer dialogue, as Argentina's Foreign Minister did just yesterday. Britain’s refusal to even discuss sovereignty while lecturing others on the “rules-based order” is pure hypocrisy: either the UN process and international law matter, or they don’t.

Morning all... Just a reminder that whilst Argentina screams about the Falklands, which they have never even owned, the Falklands remain British. Let them scream, because it's all they have.

I am absolutely appalled that such a close ally (the United States) should support Argentina’s claim to the Falkland Islands. And to do this as an act of spite because we refused to be sucked into a Middle East conflict with a plan that has now come unstuck. It is immature diplomacy from a country I love and respect. It will take years to recover from this. Come on Donald you are better than this. But let me add one more thing: Javier Milei, if you attack the Falklands, we will come down there again and kick you out. It will be ugly and you will lose. You will need glass bottom boats to inspect your shiny new F-16s and the only long-term Argentine inhabitants of the Falklands will be members of your armed forces buried under its soil.

If Milei & Trump persist in this stupid piece of populist theater the UK should get a license for Ukraines FP-5 Flamingo and base dozens in west Falkland this would put most of Argentinas military bases under threat. Add in their anti drone units around the bases and…. 🤪

The Falklands War was initiated by a military junta under Leopoldo Galtieri, who was part of the 1976 coup d'état and subsequent Dirty War in which 25,000 Argentinians were mass-murdered, tortured, and disappeared. UN Resolution 502 declared it illegal. Get your facts straight.

This is how the leftists rewrite history in front of our eyes. The Falklands were invaded by people 8000 miles away in 1833 and now somehow they’re the owners

Why did the BBC and ITV ban this video of hideous quotes by Farage and Reform figures, yet they give the people who said them disproportionate airtime? This is not normal.
