Another reminder that Miami lost the SMU game due to a horseshit personal foul call. Until Al Riveron has been thrown out on his ass, nothing matters because ACC officiating will be just as inept in ‘26 as it has been. You saw it last night in ACCCG. The people running the ACC review center do not know what they are doing. ESPN rules analyst actually questioned their knowledge of the rules late in 4th quarter on a catch where WR didn’t maintain possession through end of play. The fact that the member schools don’t demand a higher standard is a reason why the ACC is viewed more like the AAC when you talk to SEC and B1G folks. Zero respect as a peer conference. Nothing fans or coaches or players can do about it. This is all on 18 university presidents. They are the only ones who can trigger the significant change that’s needed.

SMU — the team no one would allow in a power conference for 40 years — is now one win away from making the ACC championship game for the second consecutive year in just its second year in the conference. That is an unbelievable feat.

SMU beats Louisville 38-6. Mustangs need to beat Cal and need GT or UVA to drop their last ACC game to get in the ACCCG.

ACC Championship game or not, CFP or not this season, SMU winning 30 games in 3 seasons is really special.

No one wants to admit it… but SMU *might* be the HOTTEST team in the ACC right now. All the Mustangs need to make the ACC Championship is Pitt to beat GT and SMU to beat Cal next week. The path to Charlotte seemed far more complicated a couple of weeks ago.

Camp Mystic is built on sediment deposited by past floods. Flooding there is 100% predictable.

@OriginalTimmyC @TonyClimate Geez, those camps have been there for most than a century. There is no “floodplain” there. It’s hills and creeks and a river.

@TonyClimate There should definitely be a discussion about the appropriateness of location and especially ELEVATION of the cabins. Not just for Camp Mystic but all up and down the Guadalupe. But floodplain management is a discussion for another day. Right now focus is on rescue.
