Liverpool have reignited interest in Pedro Neto, now at Chelsea, as they scramble to rebuild their attack this summer following Mohamed Salah's departure.
The current state of the rumor?
Journalist Dave Davis reported Liverpool are "back in bed with" Jorge Mendes, Neto's agent, with the club seeking multiple wingers this summer Neto and Man City's Savinho have both been discussed as options. Davis described Neto as a strong "carrier" of the ball with good passing and elite crossing numbers, ranking in the 90s percentile-wise for cross threat and value added.
On whether a move could actually happen, Davis was fairly bullish, suggesting the move was being "stood up" and that Neto would jump at the chance to join, though he added he was partly playing devil's advocate with that claim.
Why Happening now?
Liverpool's top targets have fallen through elsewhere, Yan Diomande has made clear he wants PSG instead, and a move for Bradley Barcola also looks in danger, pushing the Reds toward alternate options including Neto and Savinho.
Context on Neto himself?
He's now 26, and has scored 19 goals in 103 appearances for Chelsea, having been a standout at the Club World Cup with three goals. Liverpool had actually pursued him once before, Anfield chiefs spoke with his representatives two years ago when he was still at Wolves, before he ended up joining Chelsea instead.
Grain of salt
This is transfer-rumor territory, sourced to one journalist's claims on a podcast, not confirmed by either club. Worth treating as speculative until something more concrete (official talks, Fabrizio Romano-tier confirmation) emerges.

🔴🇳🇴 #LFC have often been drawn to the biggest & expensive names in the market, but those signings don't always deliver as expected.
If Nusa is genuinely available for around €60m, LFC won't find better value in this market.
Elite dribbling, explosive pace, & still only 21.

Man, I wish Portugal could play with the same cohesion France are showing right now. Fluid movement, tactical discipline, players covering for each other—it's proper team football, not just star power.
Portugal has the talent, but that unity feels missing too often. What would it take for them to click like this?

Agents like Javier Pastore are far too interested in their commissions to care about the welfare of the player, it's unfortunate.
Vince™@Blue_Footy
Enzo's agent, Javier Pastore, doesn't really help the guy. Has he ever thought about what will happen to Enzo at Chelsea if he fails to convince any club to sign him for £120m?
