@CleanLAwithMe How Many More Reasons Does Los Angeles Need NOT TO VOTE FOR
#KARENBASS ?
VOTE FOR
#SPENCERPRATT
FOR LA MAYOR

Is this legal in Los Angeles? I’ve seen many places where people open the fire hydrants around the city.

@CleanLAwithMe it should be illegal and only for fire fighters
English

The goal isn’t to dwell on the negative, but to highlight issues so they can be addressed and improved. Alongside that, there’s plenty of positivity too, volunteers coming together, neighborhoods being cleaned, and small acts of care making a real difference. Every cleanup is a step toward something better! 💚🙌
English

@Lucid_Stew You’re right, that contrast really highlights some of the inconsistencies in how rules are enforced. 💧
It shows how important it is to balance safety, resource management, and compassion. While small infractions
English

@CleanLAwithMe meanwhile, a few years back people were calling the cops on their neighbors if their lawn irrigation dribbled a cup of water onto the sidewalk.
English

@CyHusain The point isn’t to exaggerate, but to show that access to water and safe ways to cool off or stay hydrated is a real issue for many unhoused people. It’s a complex challenge, and highlighting it helps the community and city think about better long-term solutions. 💚🙌
English

@CleanLAwithMe Another one of your imaginary problems in LA. If someone opens a fire hydrant in #DTLA it's almost instantly shut down and the kids who did it are long gone.
English

@CleanLAwithMe They been doing this in NYC for decades, it’s a waste of water though
English

You’re right, there isn’t a dedicated patrol for this, and often there aren’t immediate consequences when hydrants are opened. In many cases, city crews or LAFD eventually turn them off, but it does show how important proper access and resources are for people in need. Thanks for pointing that out, it’s a reminder of the bigger challenges the city faces in balancing safety and basic needs. 💚🙌
English

@CleanLAwithMe Well its not like we have a fire hydrant patrol, nor are apparently any consequences for turning one on. Presume lafd or other city crews will turn them off eventually. Over here they do close the valve after getting water.
English

We hear you, it’s definitely something you see a lot in different areas of LA. 💧
It really highlights the need for better resources, education, and community support so that everyone has safe and responsible ways to access water and basic necessities. Every effort to improve the situation helps! 💚🙌
English

@CleanLAwithMe Oh man I see them doing this all the time all around the city
English

Thank you for the suggestion! 🙏💚
That’s a smart idea and something we’re exploring, partnering with local Chambers of Commerce and police or probation departments could definitely help connect volunteers who need community service hours. It’s a great way to get more hands on deck and make cleanups more efficient while giving people a chance to contribute positively.
We really appreciate your input! 💪🌎
English

@CleanLAwithMe Did you contact the local Chambers of Commerce and ask then to contact local police depts, to give you names/contact info on people who need to complete community service hours? Those people can help you with your clean ups!

@Brent_D_Lee Thanks! It’s hard work, but seeing the community shine makes it all worth it. I appreciate the support!
English

Big thank you to council member Monica Rodriguez for showing up and putting in the work for our community 🙌 This is what real change looks like—people coming together, side by side, to make our streets cleaner and safer for everyone.
And a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers who showed up, gave their time, energy, and heart. None of this is possible without you. Every bag of trash picked up is a step toward a better Los Angeles. 💪
If you want to be part of this movement, come join us at the next cleanup and be part of the change. Let’s keep showing what unity can do! #CleanLA #CommunityCleanup #MakeADifference #KeepLAClean #VolunteerPower

@LizWhistle Partnering with local Chambers of Commerce and probation departments for community service support is a smart idea and could really help expand the impact. We’ll definitely look into that as a way to get more hands involved and give people a chance to contribute positively.
English

@CleanLAwithMe You should contact the local Chambers of Commerce in each area you do clean up in, ask them to contact the local probation departments & have them assign people who need to complete community service hours. I used to do that when I needed help for cleaning/painting over graffiti.
English

Thank you, we really appreciate you recognizing the cleanup work. 🙏And you’re right, lasting change goes beyond just picking things up. It takes a deeper look at the root causes and a combination of solutions, education, resources, accountability, and community involvement. We’re focused on doing what we can on the ground while also hoping to be part of a bigger conversation that leads to long-term change. Thanks for sharing your perspective and caring about the issue! 💚🙌
English

@CleanLAwithMe Good on you guys for the clean up… but Real Change would mean that trashing of LA and California would stop
Real Change would need to take a hard look at the source of continued trashing of streets, highways, waterways and shared spaces
English

@alwayslastone At the end of the day, we’re just focused on the work and staying consistent for the community, no matter who’s in office. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts! 💚🙌
English

@CleanLAwithMe This is the last you’ll see and hear from her…
Isn’t she running for reelection?
English

Someone was stealing water from a fire hydrant 🚱
So many people use these sidewalks every day — let’s keep them clean and safe for everyone!
Thank you to all the volunteers helping make a difference 🙌
