@Patience_Uchech Sadly, this is the story of some women.
He has just added his future partner to that list.
I refuse to disappear in my marriage.
English

I was having a random conversation with a male friend about how intentional I’m being with building my career before I even think of settling down.
And he goes, half-joking but very serious
“Career that will still end in your husband’s house?”
I paused.
Because that statement says more than he realized.
He doubled down and said no matter how far a woman goes before marriage, it eventually “comes down” after marriage anyway.
And in that moment, I wasn’t even offended, I was just… informed.
Because that kind of thinking doesn’t come from nowhere. It reflects the kind of partner someone like him plans to be.
The truth is It does happen to some women. Not because the ambition expires after marriage, but because they end up in environments that shrink them.
So no, I won’t just think about building a career. I also think about the kind of partnership that will exist around that career.
Because who you marry will either:
– expand your life
– or drastically reduces it
And I refuse to build something meaningful only to hand it over to someone who sees it as temporary.
I REFUSE TO DISAPPEAR IN MY MARRIAGE!

Today I turn 24.
At 20-21, I was a mess.
No direction.
No meaning.
Just vibes.
Failed at software.
Failed at SMMA.
But SMMA did one thing.
It introduced me to writing.
So I wrote.
Then kept writing.
Then couldn't stop.
Right now?
Happiest I've ever been.
Wrote a children's book.
Starting the second
Working with 3 clients.
24 looks nothing like I expected.
Turns out that's the best part.
Happy birthday to me.

@ahmedhalimah02 Dads🤗
This is so sweet
It is almost as if I was reading about my dad. My dad will prepare hot water for me when I'm having cramps. If I mention that I am sad or stressed, he will talk to me and even hug me if I ask for it.
If I'm sick, my dad will stay awake all night.

Me: Dad I want to make my hair
Him : Go and make it now
Me: Money
Him: How much?
Me 3500 ( in my head; attachment x2=800, stylist=1000, transport and miscellaneous =1000. Pocket the rest)
Him: Ha! Isn’t it better if you barb it? My barber takes 100, it is when I want to dash him money that I pay 200
Me: OK goes back to my room
30 minutes later
Him: Aren’t you making your hair again?
Me: But you said I should go and cut it now
Him: you better do quick. I will not wait for you o. I’m going to town now.
Me : Rushed to the bathroom to take a bath and get ready
He drops me at the saloon
Him: Call me him when you’re done and gives me 3500
2hrs later he calls, are you done? I’m going home o
Me: We’re not even half done. I’ll just meet you at home
Him: aren’t you hungry
Me: I am very hungry, but I’ll just buy mineral and biscuits.
Him: OK don’t stay out too late.
Me: OK sir
A few moments later he calls again to ask how many of us were in the saloon? My dad brought food for all 3 of us. The woman making my hair asked if he was my boyfriend and I said my Dad, the other lady said maybe she is his only child. This man has 9 of us and he is like that with every single one
He went ahead to wait 2 extra hours just to take me home, so I don’t have to go home by myself at night.
Also the first to compliment my hair even though he complained about it being too much and too long.
That man has loved me my entire life, being actively present and I would give him the entire universe if I could.

@suida_ajdini Wow
This is amazing. I keep saying AI is not our enemy. Instead, it is meant to help us.
English

A tech founder used AI + ChatGPT to help create a personalized cancer vaccine for his dying dog.
The result?
The tumor started shrinking.
This is wild.
If we can do this for a dog today, imagine what’s possible for humans tomorrow.

@chimaijem14 Ah
This is sad. May God separate us from friends like that.

3 years ago, I saved up money to travel abroad.
Visa approved, everything ready. My flight was in 2 weeks.
I told my friends. Everyone was happy for me. At that time, I had about 7 close friends. Three of them were already living abroad.
Since I was leaving soon, I decided to organize a farewell party for them and my girlfriend (now my ex).
We lodged in a hotel, ate, drank and enjoyed ourselves all night. It was supposed to be a happy memory before my journey.
But 4 days later, something strange started happening.
I began to feel serious pain all over my body.
At first I thought it was normal sickness. I bought medicine, but nothing worked.
Each day the pain became worse.
Soon it got to the point where I couldn’t even stand up from my bed.
My people rushed me to the hospital. I spent 3 days there, but the doctors couldn’t find anything wrong.
They transferred me to another hospital. Still nothing.
After 2 more days, I was discharged.
The doctors said they couldn’t trace any illness and advised my parents to look for another solution.
My parents became very worried.
They started taking me to different places, spending the money I had saved for my pocket expenses abroad.
Finally, we went to a traditionalist.
After checking me, he said something that shocked everyone.
He said I had been poisoned.
He also said if we had wasted two more days, I might not have survived.
He started treatment immediately, but he said it would take 3 weeks for me to recover.
Three weeks?
My flight was already just days away.
But my parents had no choice. They told him to continue.
After about two weeks, I slowly started getting better.
But by then, my flight was gone.
The visa, the plans, the money… everything was lost.
I had already sold most of my properties in Nigeria before preparing to travel.
So I had to start my life all over again, even moving back to live with my mom.
Till today, I’m still trying to find my feet again.
One lesson I learned the hard way:
Avoid bad friends.

@itsgoodnessN This is what I tell myself anytime I want to study something. I remember the first time I heard about chatbot and automation. As I was reading about it. I was working on it, and I got it.
English

Learning without implementing is a waste of time.
Learning without practicing is a waste of time.
At some point, it’s not about what you know anymore.
It’s about what you do with what you know.
You’ve watched the videos.
Read the threads.
Saved the tips.
Took the notes.
But nothing changes… because you’re not applying anything.
Knowledge feels productive, but it’s not the same as progress. ACTION IS!
Stop convincing yourself you’re “preparing.”
If you really want to grow,
start practicing, start failing, start doing. Only then can you see results.
Good morning X Fam 😊💙

@Patience_Uchech Hiiii
I'm currently exploring product management.

@Jumoke_SMM 😂😂The excitement is worth it. That's amazing

When I got my LED lights, they told me to buy batteries, like 10k–15k each, and I needed two. I said okay, I’ll come back for it.
Got home and something just clicked.
I remembered my PowerGo. Plugged my light in and it came on. No NEPA. No stress.
Guys 😭 my PowerGo can literally power my setup. Meaning I can shoot anytime. Any day. No excuse.
And the craziest part? I was so close to spending money I didn’t even need to spend. God really saved me from unnecessary expenses because what 😭
I know I sounded extra excited in that post but please… this joy is REAL 😂

Here are three ways you can monetize your AI video creation skill, even as a beginner.
First, sell it as an offer.
Package your skill and sell to businesses monthly.
Second, offer it as a service.
Go on Upwork, Fiverr, or any freelancing platform.
Position yourself as an AI video creator and work with brands.
Third, build your own content.
Grow your page and monetize through digital products.
If you want to build an extra income stream, comment “link” and I’ll send you access to my next AI income class.

@eliana_jordan Mentor
Wow
That wasn't a mentor.
I'm glad you turned things around
English

My mentor at my first dev job once told me:
“You will never make it to Junior 2.”
Why?
Because I asked a question about a technology I had never used before.
The next day HR and the CEO scheduled a call.
I was fired for that same reason.
Now imagine if I had a weak mindset.
That moment could’ve convinced me I wasn’t good enough.
That I should quit coding.
But I didn’t.
I laughed and kept going.
4 years later:
• I have 3 apps making money
• I code better than that mentor
• I make more than I did at that job
And more importantly, I learned things that job would never have taught me:
Infrastructure.
Security.
Marketing.
Finance.
So in a way… they were right.
I was never meant to make it to Junior 2.
I was meant to be CEO and CTO of my own things.
