A tough outing for the 2s tonight as they were comfortably beaten by Catterick Village. Richard Bland topped scored with a decent innings of 28 and it was good to see Ben Howe get through his 4 overs. Onto Saturday and the league match.

Ian Hanmer`s patient knock held our innings together and along with a few cameo knocks from our middle order, we reached 122 for 6. Paul Simpson bowled a tremendous opening spell, but the star of the show was Luke Park-Bradley with 4 wickets including the Haughton skipper.

The 2024 season got underway this weekend with mixed results. The 1s led by @E9SBY were beaten comfortably at home by 122 runs against @haughton_cc with C Edwards scoring a century for the visitors. The 2s led by @RichieMallo in the reverse fixture won a close game by 5 wickets
