@headtr1ckcs How is it unexpected when you are the lowest rated player as the AWPER
English

@Cerebrone Imagine being a kid loving soccer.
Then telling that kid that they would play for barcelona, dortmund, valencia in the future.
Play a handful og games for spain, scoring a good amount.
Making an estimated 50m dollars in the process.
Yeah really a sad story

@kassad Are you talking about “The try and get Saw some vrs points cup”
English

@JesperLarsen222 I feel like teams like gamerlegion are so protected.
Its super hard to break into the vrs invites and it is just as hard to loose your placement.

Head to head adjustment in the VRS can be brutal ->
(fnatic example)
It's such a brutal balance for teams like fnatic, down this final major qualification stretch..
Each game is basically a 'MUST WIN', no more room for "expensive" losses in the H2H adjustment scores:
You can see for yourself just how punishing the losses are in HLTVs great new ranking detail tool if you click on "Head to head":
Since fnatic has a pretty high Start Ranking now for tier 2 standards, the VRS has them as heavy favorites against almost all tier 2 opponents.
When you are a heavy favorite a Win gives almost no H2H adjustment points while a loss is very expensive.
(Note: As a rule of thumb, a defeat to a much lower ranked opponent costs up to 30 points in negative H2H adjustement)
We can see above how a Defeat in these events with tier 2 opponents all costs more than -20 points, while a Win gives only a few + points.
In the last 10 games, the 3 recent L's cost them -74 points, while the 7 wins have given them +23 in total.
Even their Win against GamerLegion is not worth as many "plus points" as these defeats costs in "minus points".
If fnatic makes a clean run from here they can actually maybe qualify (40k prize money in Exort TPG wouldnt hurt), but it looks like the next defeat will be fatal.
Especially because fnatic has already exhausted much of their LAN win potential.
The LAN win cap will be pushed higher though (they can help doing it themselves!) which will give a teams who still have potential LAN wins some more points to gain.

Part of what attracts me so much with cycling is similar to Counter Strike.
Easy to watch, easy to understand on a surface level.
Entry point is relatively low as a spectator.
The amount of layers that both CS and cycling provide is where it gets extremely exciting. There’s endless layers on layers on layers that takes ages to fully understand.
The amount of complexity to a lot of the scenarios being presented to the spectators from the professional level, is what ignites a fire in me.
There’s SO many passionated Counter Strike fans that’s just hitting surface level understanding, yet enjoying watching it a lot. Those people don’t have to dig deeper, as being entertained is the goal in itself.
However those who do, will learn and experience that there’s always another layer. Always more nuance, always more that goes into what they initially thought they understood.
I get the same feeling over and over and over with Counter Strike, and cycling right now. The second you think you “get it all” is the second you stop developing.
You can always get smarter, you can always learn, and I feel that’s and endless pursuit when it comes to Counter Strike and Cycling (Nutrition, tactics, training, etc etc etc)

@Metizport I thought it was preeeeeetttttyyyy obvious that you needed a new awper. Buuuuttttt alrightyyyy.

@Bubzkji @i_like__feet Why is money in cs a bad thing, i hope they buy all the players so everybody gets cash
English

@i_like__feet Because in the future they will be the most dominant team, if they keep outspending everybody else to this extent

Dear valve @CounterStrike - the idea of removing the mrq/rmr is actually good. But only if you actually sorted the circuit and made it a demand to host qualifiers for every ranked event. The fact that every tournament is pure VRS invite, makes this a horrendous change. Step up…

@OfficialBleh @donacsgo Can you leave the studio? I dont appreciate that.

@JasperMini02 @HLTVorg Original joke, you should consider stand up comedy

@axel_____Xd Its actually a two parter conversation.
They want to go for ZTR sometime this year, and have tried to contact Tabsen and seeing if he wants to go for it.
Rumours that Tabsen is having feelings about trying something new before its too late.

@01020yg Holy!! So true!! Why not just get all of the best players in the world??? Have they thought about that??
