I've studied UK history all my life at Uni and on my free time. I love everything about your history and your cultural legacy. But I've never been there. But I will. In my dreams I've been there for years. One day I'll do it. Snooker, pubs, folk music, old towns, chatting with people, trying to actually speak English. I'll do it one day. And your language? The most beautiful language on earth, and I've studied few, Finnish, English, Swedish, German, Russian... "In these dark towns folk lie sleeping as the heavy horses thunder by to wake the dying city with the living horseman's cry" -Jethro Tull I hope I'll meet YOU one day in UK โค๏ธ

@jeff35117 Yeah I agree with you definitely. Although UK and Masters would be another great addition as well. But anything smaller than triple crown don't really change anything anymore.

@CuePowerBlog I think he has but eventually it all comes down to an 8th World title. Even if he wins 10 more other tournaments it won't have too much of an impact but an 8th World title would be legendary. The only and most important record he needs to break.

Ronnie playing some superb stuff again! Happy to see him so concentrated. But the consistency has been the issue for him during the last couple of years. Might he still have a title or few in him? ๐Ÿค”

A matter of trust. Every year, Finland tops the World Happiness Report. Economists point to welfare systems. Sociologists cite education. But having visited Finland โ€” and eventually bought an apartment in Vantaa โ€” I think the real answer is something harder to measure. It's trust. Not as a value on a poster. As the actual foundation of how society works. From the very first trip, it struck me. People trust strangers. Institutions trust citizens. The state trusts its people to make good decisions, and people trust the state not to abuse that. It sounds simple. It is anything but. When I went through the process of buying property in Finland, the contrast with other places I know was almost surreal. The system assumed good faith โ€” at every step. No one treated me like a potential problem to be managed. That trust wasn't naive. It was structural, built over generations into laws, culture, and everyday habits. And here's the thing about trust: it's self-reinforcing. When people trust each other, they cooperate. When they cooperate, things work. When things work, trust deepens. Finland isn't happy despite its challenges โ€” it's resilient through them because the social fabric holds. Happiness reports measure outcomes. Trust is the mechanism. That's what Finland quietly taught me. ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ

Finland is the Happiest country in the World for the 9th year running. We also climbed up the world brand index from 7th to 5th. I am often asked why we do well in these rankings. I do not think there is a magic potion, but it helps to have a society which strives towards freedom, equality and justice. The basis of it all is a welfare society, a robust education system, a sense of security and a close attachment to nature. There is no such thing as a perfectly happy society, but providing some building blocks that give us a chance to live a meaningful life, to help others, will nudge us in the right direction during the journey of life.
