Black History Month Fact of the Day: Mae Jemison is a NASA astronaut, engineer and physician. In 1992 she became the first African American woman to travel in space when she orbited the Space Shuttle Endeavor.

Black History Month Fact of the Day: Child prodigy, Philippa Schuyler made her debut at New York's Town Hall in 1953 at age 12. She was a well known concert pianist and composer. At age 13, she wrote Manhattan Nocturne.
