TV scheduling is an arcane art and pretty much everyone on the network side tried their best to get the best ratings out of every episode. It was out of our hands

For instance when I worked on Steven Universe we would kill ourselves to meet our production dates and we never missed a single deadline. but the network would sit on finished episodes for months, air them out of order, or in batches etc
