As a college student I would see grown ass people still wearing backpacks, I told me myself I’d never be one of those people. Here I am, a grown ass person regularly wearing a backpack to work. 😓🫢

By allowing others to come apart, we, too, give ourselves permission and grace to lean into our less forgiving parts.

I’m convinced that 80% of my job as a psychiatrist is watching people run away from themselves. Once they eventually tire out, then treatment can begin.
