The MAGA movement is demonstrating once again that it is no longer a political movement. @Love_the_sun_2 Property taxes are lower. You're going to pay a lot for water/sewer/trash and gas and electric. If you have a newer car your plates will be expensive. And we have state and county income taxes. So it's a trade off but generally decent place to live.
