I already knew I was carrying a macrosomic baby (a big baby). At 40weeks, with no natural signs of labour, I was induced. The first doctor actually overdosed on the induction medication. As he was handing over, he told the next doctor the dosage, and the second doctor immediately said, “No, that’s too much.” They had to remove it and start again with the correct dosage. That moment alone… God. By evening (around 6–7pm), contractions started normally. I was 3cm dilated when they induced me. Three hours later, still 3cm. No movement. Fear started creeping in. This was my second delivery. One doctor had already advised CS because of the baby’s size, but another said I could try for a vaginal birth since that was my second delivery. Another 3 hours… still 3cm. Then things got intense. By around 1am, I was about 7cm. Progress, but slow. Then around 5am, I saw blood, and the nurses had been saying, “We need to see blood.” They rushed me to the delivery room. But even there, I was stuck at 7cm for hours. They started giving me injections, different ones, even in my lap. The drip was increased. Everything became intense. From 5am till delivery, I saw shege 😭 At some point, I was already thinking, “Let’s just go for CS. The goal is a safe mother and baby.” Then I progressed to 9cm, and we discovered the cord was around my baby’s neck. But God. At exactly 7:47am the next day, after hours of labour (from the previous evening), I delivered my baby. 4kg, no tear, not even one. My doctor and nurses were simply the best. I still don’t know how God did it, but I know He did.

Reading through these comments, a few things hit me hard. The real problem holding many Arewa youths back isn’t just lack of financial help or government support. It’s deeper than that. A lot of us have become too comfortable in our comfort zones. We don’t observe what’s happening around us. there are small opportunities everywhere that one can start with little or nothing, but we miss them because we’re waiting for “big money” before we begin. Someone said he asked for money and was given 15k. He took it personal. I already see how i would have turned that 15k into 3k daily and scale up. In a month that investment will be 20k. In a year i will turn it to over 150k daily investment making 15 to 20k per day. We look down on certain types of work, thinking they’re beneath us, so we stay idle. And that is why this wouldn't work for most of you. Story for another day. Hopelessness has clouded our thinking: “this country is finished anyway,” so why even bother trying? The biggest issue is the lack of vision. Basic thinking and problem-solving seem rare. Instead of asking “how can I make this work with what I have right now?”, many just wait for handouts. And when someone points this out, some people quickly insult them, as if being employed or managing somehow disqualifies you from speaking the truth. But this isn’t an attack. It’s a wake up call. Our leaders know that as long as we depend on political “saraa” and free money, we’ll always be easy to control. Real wealth doesn’t come by chance, it’s built deliberately through consistent effort, saving, learning how money actually works, and taking small steps. Just start, start even if its small: look around your area carefully, identify one problem people face daily, and think of a simple way to solve it. Learn a skill that can bring in something. Save part of whatever money comes in. Stop waiting for perfect conditions. It won’t be easy at first, and some insults may come, but only we can change our situation. Arewa youths, honestly, most of you are just wasting your time. You need to build with purpose. The future won’t wait for you if you don’t take responsibility.

Building wealth: In 2026 people are still thinking about free monies. Same people that want a better life? want to grow? want to be successful? want to beat the level of “pls abeg gimme”. Free money is sweet. Wealth is built. Success is planned. Arewa youths if you don’t wake up and make your lives deliberate.
