Last week we got to celebrate our high school intern Avani with her final summer program presentation at NCSSM! She helped so much in the lab, and is off to start college applications! So look out colleges for Avani!!

The lab took a break from our science to learn all about lemur science at the @DukeLemurCenter Happy summer, everyone!!

And our summer VIP program @DukePsychNeuro is complete! Jalen and Olivia presented their final posters yesterday and got great feedback! We can’t wait to see data collection finish up!

Congrats to Jalen and Olivia on amazing VIP presentations! Jalen discussed kid’s multiple identities and Olivia talked about gesture and social interactions! And of course we had to get ice cream to celebrate after! 🍦🎉

A big lab welcome to @MariamW64263712 (Mariam Wahba) as our new recruitment coordinator! 👋🏼 A recent grad from @UNCPsych she is excited about making connections, working in the community, and making a difference! A fun fact about her is that she loves to paint! 🎨

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my poster at SPSSI this year! Excited to continue this work examining the identity factors that predict Multiracial mental wellbeing. Proud to have a line of research raising awareness about Multiracial mental health.

It is almost the end of the first summer session in the lab!! ☀️ That means we needed some food to fuel our science! A fun lab lunch to celebrate our new lab space and to remind ourselves how important the work we do is!!
