Spotted Lake in British Columbia, Canada is a rare mineral lake that forms colourful “spots” in summer as water evaporates. High concentrations of salts and minerals separate into circular pools, creating its unique patterned look.
This is poplar fluff. It’s the cotton-like seeds from poplar trees in spring. Common in cities with many poplars, it can trigger allergies and even pose a fire risk when it piles up.
