Our featured tour this week is the Butterflies of North Greece tour, a guaranteed departure next June with just two places now remaining available.
Brilliant butterflies are also guaranteed - but so are some wonderful wildflowers, like Woolly Foxglove, and Balkan Lizard Orchid.

9/6/24 Yorkshire - Today was the annual pilgrimage to @kilnseypark for the Pugsley’s Marsh #Orchids (Dactylorhiza traunsteinerioides) and an absolutely banging plate of rainbow trout in the café. I absolutely love it here - I always bump into someone nice too #wildflowerhour

Just 2/ >100 Balkan Lizard #orchids of our campus! Himantoglossum calcaratum ssp. rumelicum (f. known as H. jankae) thrives herethe last few years, and is definitely the eye-catcher of the season with its showy inflorescence popping out of the almost dry grasses. #TeamOrchids ✌️

Our latest paper on COVID-19 (doi.org/10.3390/microo…) shows how transmission TO domestic animals or TO wildlife may be important. Indeed, through spill-back and 2ndry spillover, major mutations could be going on "under the radar" that might later return to us.
