Final total raised in the Three Peaks Chellenge was £2,206. Our initial target was £1,000 so enormous thanks to all who donated, and to @TytheringtonSch for the bus that made it possible.
English

26 miles walked, 10,000 feet climbed, 3 summits, 3 countries. 950 miles driven.
Team ED have hit the Three Peaks in style.
With thanks to @TytheringtonSch for lending the bus that made it happen.

And they’re off!

Due back down Ben Nevis around 1pm
Please support us if you can.

Massive thanks to Mr Botwe and the team @TytheringtonSch for lending us one of their minibuses to help make this happen.
A fabulously generous donation. Any and all are welcome.

@lianavalentinay I dealt with this a few years back.
I told them that if they could show me evidence that hot, dehydrated doctors and nurses worked better than cool, hydrated ones I would be happy to appraise it.
Patients drink in the wait room, and the CQC have said they don’t care. Say no.
English

VERY common in the NHS. As an FY2, the nurse in charge snatched my bottle of water from my hand, mid sip, and threw it in the bin. All because “doctors drinking on wards is an infection control violation.” Doctors were also banned from using the break room on that ward.
Dr Haseena Wazir@DrHWazir
Overworked, underpaid, and subjected to unnecessary hostility. An NHS doctor was prevented from accessing the ward kitchen for a simple glass of tap water. It’s no surprise so many doctors are leaving for countries where they’re valued, respected, and treated with basic dignity.

@Nat_O_Byrne Sick patient is sick, and I’d rather know than not.
Might have a snigger about it WITH you later, but not AT you.
Sick lady called in as septic shock, turned out to be a ruptured ectopic. Don’t matter. Received as “sick” and sorted as such.

To nobody’s surprise the Rwanda plan was unlawful.
Surely to goodness that’s that. Time for @10DowningStreet to go.
-lame duck is now dead
-unelected Foreign Secretary

@SilverwoodVS This is beyond madness. NOT sport, some of it reminds me of the referee leading Michael Watson back to Chris Eubank in their final round rather than recognising the serious injury. I’ll be using snippets to illustrate “bad things too look out for” talks - we must learn from this.
