I’m at BHS right now watching these amazing kids honor the 8,339 people who lost their lives to school-place violence and identity-based violence and I am *blown away* by how brilliant, articulate, and empathetic they are. These are the change-makers. Let’s follow THEIR lead.

Students at Baldwin High School are taking turns reading 8,339 names of people who lost their lives to school-place violence and identity-based violence. It’s a 24-hour vigil. Hear more about their initiative to try to prevent hate and violence coming up at noon on @KDKA.

Some affirmations for my fellow #Artists that I needed today: -There will always be another idea, even when I feel like there won’t be. -No one is putting more pressure on you than you are. And my personal favorite: -I can do big things.

Grief, A Thread: Last June, I unexpectedly lost my dad, and it ripped my entire world apart. Then, exactly a month later - to the day, I found out I was pregnant with my first child, a son.
