@fauxpilgrim Hi @fauxpilgrim there's two kinds of air source heat pumps: conventional and cold climate. Conventional pumps shut off in temperatures below -10°C. Cold climate pumps can operate in temperatures down to -25°C depending on manufacturer specs, making them more suitable for Manitoba

@EfficiencyMB Your ads to recycle “old” refrigerators and freezers and get a rebate are more than a little misleading. You should mention that: “Your fridge/freezer is at least 20 years old and 10 cubic feet or larger.” “Your appliance is in working condition and capable of cooling.”

We’ll pick-up, recycle, and give you $30 for your old working fridge or freezer.

@EfficiencyMB This program is. A huge waste of time. I was told by installer that I’d be covered 100 percent . And it wasn’t covered at all. Even the installer couldn’t believe the denied request

@PIwankow Hi @PIwankow, Through our rebate, solar PV systems must be connected to Manitoba Hydro’s grid. They use net billing, instead of net metering, which allows you to generate electricity for your own use and sell your excess to receive a monetary credit on your bill.

@JBellavo Hi @JBellavo, Thanks for your comment. Removing an appliance that no longer works doesn't result in any energy savings, which is the intent of the program. It must be capable of cooling in order to qualify.
