Jakarta, March 18, 2026 - The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Indonesia hosted a press conference to present the results of the national referendum on Kazakhstan’s new Constitution, held on March 15, 2026.

🇰🇿 President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev condemned the missile strikes and drone attacks launched from Iranian territory on the #UnitedArabEmirates, which caused numerous casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure. The President considers such actions unacceptable, as they risk further escalating the armed conflict in the #MiddleEast with potentially serious consequences. According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, diplomatic means are the only appropriate way to resolve #international disputes.

🇰🇿 President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomes the statement by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian (@DrPezeshkian) announcing the decision of the Interim Leadership Council to refrain from attacks on neighboring states. The President of #Kazakhstan considers this decision an important step toward easing tensions in the #MiddleEast.

The President of Kazakhstan sent personal messages to the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, expressing his sincere support and solidarity with the peoples of those countries during this challenging period. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev strongly condemned all military actions aimed at undermining the sovereignty and security of states that are friendly and brotherly to Kazakhstan. “Our country consistently advocates resolving all complex international issues and armed conflicts exclusively through diplomatic means,” the Kazakh leader stated in his messages. The Head of State also affirmed that Kazakhstan stands ready to provide any possible assistance to the brotherly Arab nations and expressed hope for the continuation of regular working contacts with their senior leadership.
