We recently hosted a morning event for our consultants working across an institutional banking platform project for one of Australia’s biggest banks. Although they're sitting within different teams across UI engineering, data engineering, and API, they’re all contributing to the same major initiative. Bringing everyone into the same room created space to explore how each team operates, where their work connects, and how their collective effort drives meaningful impact. Sessions like this help build stronger communication, set clear expectations and career pathways, and support better collaboration across the project. It is one of the many ways FDM stays close to our people and our clients, making sure our consultants feel connected, supported and set up to thrive 🌟

Great insights on the future of UK innovation from FDM’s COO, @SheilaFlavell1, during her fireside chat at the @LegalTechNLM event last week. She highlighted how the legal sector, and the wider UK economy, is evolving as we enter the Fifth Industrial Revolution (5IR): ▪️ The 5IR era is not “more AI”, but “better AI". Technology aligned with human values and judgment. ▪️ AI‑readiness is becoming a baseline skill for early‑career talent, with organisations expecting confidence in everyday AI tools. ▪️ Effective leadership must be human‑centred and value‑driven, with strategies built around people, not technology. ▪️ Economic pressures, not just AI, are reshaping the graduate landscape, even as IT and data roles remain among the hardest to fill. #BLTF26

Over 400 undergraduate students at the @UWaterloo joined EngHack and spent 12.5 hours building software tools and systems designed to improve day‑to‑day life for engineering students on campus. 👩‍💻 The projects touched on everything from academics and productivity to collaboration, wellness, and campus engagement. Celebrating #InternationalWomensDay across our APAC centres with some treats, great people, and shared learning 💜 This year’s theme, #GiveToGain, inspired our “Giving a skill, gaining a skill” micro‑learning event, where our internal staff and consultants led sessions on DISC personality traits, building better habits, positive body language, and networking. As the Co‑founder and Executive Director of Technovation Montréal and FDM Partner, Stéphanie Jecrois has spent more than a decade building pathways for girls and young women to step confidently into technology and entrepreneurship. Her mentoring journey began in 2013 during a leadership study tour to Silicon Valley, where a conversation with a Technovation ambassador completely changed her trajectory. 💬 "It was the first time I saw a model that not only taught tech skills but also intentionally created space for girls to imagine themselves as leaders, creators and innovators. That inspired me to launch the Montréal chapter in 2014 so that more girls, especially those who didn’t already see themselves in tech, could access those same opportunities."
