I have dedicated the past few weeks to calling out racists who strongly believe that Africans, and most especially Nigerians, are subhuman due to the actions of some of our compatriots, and it pains me when people like this give them talking points.
Imagine trying to prove to a racist American that you're not subhuman and they pull out a picture of a black man like you wearing his best attire to play chess at the Louvre and celebrating it as though he made a scientific breakthrough.
Shameful.

Has never participated in any international chess tournament. Has never been a grandmaster. Has never produced a student that competed at global level. Is not in the list of 100 best chess players in Africa. Is not in the list of 1000 best chess players in the world. That kind of behavior is pure sycophancy and intellectual dishonesty.

Unlike you, you’ll never find Alex ridiculing Tunde’s work or Tunde, Alex’s. These are two people making great impacts in the lives of young Nigerians through different methods. You cannot diminish one’s impact while elevating another. The other day I asked why Alex hasn’t gotten a recognition in his state or nationally. He deserves it. He doesn’t even need to collaborate with the government. A recognition is deserving of who brings value.
Instead of you to tackle the government for lack of recognition you’re attacking Tunde. A shameful and terrible attempt to tear one down while elevating another.

@tosinolaseinde Lying is different from branding though. The country already has an image of people that lie; hence, the difficult visa process for Nigerians to many countries. Branding can be done without making a false claim

Tunde is a chess Master. I am a chess Master, my cousin Martins is a Chess Master, my cousin's friend Victor Mfon is a Chess Master. I know like 20 other people in Uyo alone who are chess Masters. Why does this guy parade himself like a grandmaster? I'm not even sure this guy can beat me in classical chess (Yes, I admit I'm a weak hand at Blitz). Even Magnus Carlsen with a rating of 2840 does not make this kind of noise. This guy is not even in the top 100 Chess Masters in Nigeria. What the actual fhuck is going on in Nigeria?
