@Senninsage GamePass is not forcing 3rd party devs to put their games in day 1. Before GamePass, games got lost among other games that were popular, AAA & would go on sale sooner than planned. GamePass helps with attention more engagement for games that many would not risk buying day 1.

They would say something different if Playstation started doing it. Any pushback is purely because it was created by Microsoft and Xbox. Full stop.

@BangBangClick Understand devs wanting to make as much money at launch but don't believe GamePass is forcing 3rd party in the subscription? I love GamePass & have played more games I might have overlooked before GamePass. Games before GamePass could struggle at launch & go on sale sooner.

No game should be Day 1 on any subscription service. Game Pass is fantastic, and all games should end up there, but we need to give games a chance to make money in the theatre before we essentially put them on TV.

Game Pass Ultimate has become too expensive for too many players. Starting today, we’re dropping the price from $29.99 to $22.99/month. Future Call of Duty titles will no longer join Game Pass Ultimate on day one. They will join this tier the following holiday after launch (about a year later).
