Eric Lauer saved the Blue Jays bacon last year. Without him, there is no World Series appearance. For them to nickel and dime his arbitration request, demote him to the bullpen as an afterthought, and then use him as a bizarre spot starter/long reliever? Mickey mouse management.

@TwinsAlmanac To those cutting him up as a pitcher, have you seen what are on some pitching rosters this year. His choice of lifestyle should not be a factor. Lots of bad team mates out there as well. If he can help win, do it. Also, celebrate a 7 inning not hitter in the Atlantic League?

@Daniele_Media He went for the money and that is okay. The way he handled it. First saying he wanted to play with Vladdy for life and then saying he has always wanted to be a Met. If he held a grudge for being held back when Vladdy was called up as a rookie, get over it.

@jimsoxfan He was 5th lowest in accuracy last year with 92%. At an elite level, this is hard to accept. There could have been more that were not challenged. Mind you, almost 375 pitches in the game on both sides.

CB Bucknor has 78 challenges so far and was wrong on all of them.

The Blue Jays led baseball in contact rate last year at over 80%. Castellanos was at 73% and is 71% for his career. Zero defensive value, not a fit in the slightest for what they usually look for

The Blue Jays went from potentially finishing off their outfield with Kyle Tucker to a Nathan Lukes/Davis Schneider platoon. Life comes at you fast.

@FAmmiranteTFJ Both are major leaguers but thinking Lukes/Schneider will bring the team to the top is a dream. Schneider sold his persona and was a good story. Lukes had worst at bat with bases loaded vs. Kershaw. Swung at a ball over his head and one in the dirt when up 3-1, not a team AB.

@thejaysnation Sign Gallen or Bassitt for the rotation. Kopech is an option for a 7th or 8th inning guy. Hays or Hoskins for some small pop.

With Santander sidelined until the summer, do the Jays try and trade for a bat or let the young guys step up in his absence?
