@Xbox A wireless chat mic. Yeah you can get one (emphasis on the one) now but it's not as good as the 360s was.

@Riskit4TB If that were true he'd make sure we had decent access to wireless mics as well as wired. In reality he's just like any corporate goon and is all about the pr.

@chyld989 Yeah I've been using it. It does seem to have some connection issues but turning off and on one or both parts seems to rectify it. I do wish it were comfier on the ear though.

@ForXbone Did you ever give this a try chatting with people? I gave it a try the last two nights and while it worked great when it picked up my voice, it only heard me about 25% of the time, even with mic monitoring turned all the way up. Just wondering if I got a bad unit or not.

@chyld989 @1andDon3 The real piss take was always that using a wired mic sent the chat wirelessly from the controller anyway. Why couldn't we just use whatever that uses?

@1andDon3 @ForXbone Right? I always hear that it's due to the lag from Bluetooth, but they can always do a pop-up that says "Bluetooth isn't optimal, use a official headset instead" to pass the buck.

@chyld989 It has the same controls as the other mics. The booklet tells you to put the slider all the way right otherwise game audio does seem to come through. Having mic monitoring on made it just have a high pitched whine so I turned that off. Not sure why it did that.

@ForXbone Nice. Are you able to adjust how much game volume vs chat volume is going to the headset? Can you adjust the mic monitoring?

@chyld989 It seems better. Haven't got any one on to test it with at the mo but in a solo party the overlay comes up to let me know I'm speaking so that's already 1 up.

@Tubbernaut I went and got one, it did want to do audio too but putting the slider all the way right fixed that. I don't have any one online to chat to at moment but it registers when I speak so that's a plus. But yeah it does seem to recognise it as a headset and set it hdmi uncompressed.

@ForXbone It's a trap. Off memory, the 3.5mm connection will disable Dolby Atmos/surround sound in your audio settings. Unless it's that square-pin like the wired communicator, it'll always default to all audio thru headset. :(

@JamieMoranUK All I want on the platform is access to a basic wireless chat mic again that isn't also headphones.

Persona coming to Xbox is a testament to that more people should continue to ask what they want on the platform.
