This is lethal for Starmer. Catherine West didn’t just throw a tantrum on the BBC — she calmly laid out the exact mechanics of a leadership challenge: 20% of Labour MPs (81 signatures), she already has around 10, and more will pile in once the Cabinet bottles it. This wasn’t emotional. It was deliberate, step-by-step instruction on how to remove him. No10 is so out of touch they’re learning about a brewing coup from a TV studio next door. The rats aren’t just fleeing — they’re organising. Labour’s civil war is no longer behind closed doors. The whole rotting project is tearing itself apart in public. The faster it collapses, the better. 🇬🇧

The sheer procedural detail in West’s BBC intervention is what makes it so threatening to Starmer’s authority: she calmly explains that 20 per cent of MPs – 81 in total – must sign a single nomination, that she already has around 10 backers, and that she is “confident” more will come once cabinet ministers bottle the chance to act. That is not a random outburst; it is an attempt to turn a latent mood into a concrete mechanism, to walk colleagues step‑by‑step from private discontent to public rebellion. It also exposes how thin No 10’s political antennae have become: a leader in command would have known exactly which former ministers were ringing round, which soft‑Left MPs were tempted, and would not be relying on a panicked phone call from Thomas‑Symonds to learn that a leadership trigger is being built in the studio next door.

Labour’s implosion is accelerating. Catherine West has just thrown down the gauntlet: remove Starmer by Monday or she’ll challenge him herself. After the brutal local election wipeout, even loyal Labour MPs are turning on him. The party is eating itself alive, full of spineless careerists who only now realise the public has rejected them. The whole rotting project is collapsing in real time. How long until it fully implodes? Not long enough. General election now. 🇬🇧

Another day, another dodgy hit job on Farage. A mysterious “serious hack” conveniently reveals a £5m undeclared gift right after Reform’s massive local election gains? How timely. Reform are right to explore legal options. If this was obtained illegally, it stinks of desperation from a dying establishment. Meanwhile, Labour’s own donor scandals, crony appointments and taxpayer-funded favours barely get a fraction of this scrutiny. Funny that. The smear machine is working overtime because they’re terrified of Reform. It won’t work. 🇬🇧

Starmer is completely detached from reality. After the worst local election drubbing in a generation, losing control of heartlands, hundreds of seats wiped out, and Reform surging - he’s still talking about a 10-year project and closer EU ties with youth mobility schemes. Fuel duty cuts and cost-of-living gimmicks won’t fix the mess he’s helped create: rocketing bills from net zero, migration straining every service, and working people hammered by taxes. The public just delivered their verdict loud and clear. But Starmer’s response? More of the same failed agenda. He’s not listening and voters are done waiting. 🇬🇧

Labour’s civil war is getting messier by the hour. Senior MPs are now desperately pressuring Catherine West to stand down because a full leadership contest would be “completely irresponsible”, while quietly admitting Streeting’s allies might back her just to force a vote. They’re not trying to save the party. They’re trying to delay the inevitable execution. After losing control of councils left, right and centre, the rats are fighting in the corridors while the ship sinks. Starmer’s finished, they just haven’t agreed on who gets to push him overboard yet. The faster this circus ends, the better for Britain. 🇬🇧

More cronyism from the Labour insiders’ club. £500 million of taxpayers’ money being funnelled into a “Sovereign AI Unit”… and the person they’ve lined up to run it is Tony Blair’s daughter-in-law. Same old story: public cash, private connections, establishment insiders getting first dibs. While working families struggle with taxes and bills, Labour are busy setting up their own little investment fund for the Blair family network. No wonder trust in politics is dead. This is exactly why people are flocking to Reform. 🇬🇧

Starmer is finished. Over 100 former Labour officials and candidates have now publicly demanded he resigns after the bloodbath. Even his own side can see the writing on the wall, the party is in meltdown, heartlands are gone, and the public has delivered a historic rejection. The rats are jumping ship. The only question left is how long the delusional man in No.10 clings on before the inevitable. General election now. Britain is done with this lot. 🇬🇧

Marina, this is pure scaremongering and distortion. Reform isn’t scrapping women’s rights, they’re actually trying to protect them: • Equality Act: Reform wants to restore biological sex-based rights so women and girls aren’t erased from sports, prisons, changing rooms, or single-sex spaces by biological males. That’s defending women, not attacking them. • Online Safety Act: They oppose the parts that threaten free speech and turn the state into a censor — not the principle of tackling revenge porn. • Abortion & pro-family: Reform supports current legal time limits and wants better support for women and families (childcare, tax breaks, housing). No mainstream policy to ban abortion even in rape cases. Women are turning to Reform in growing numbers because mass immigration, failing services, and two-tier policing make them feel less safe in their own country. Stop pretending protecting borders and women’s sex-based rights equals “hating immigrants.” British women deserve safety and fairness first. 🇬🇧

Dear Reform-voting ladies… Do you know you’re voting for a party that wants to: ❌ Scrap the Equality Act - your legal protection against workplace discrimination & unequal pay ❌ Kill the Online Safety Act - the law protecting you from revenge porn ❌ Vote AGAINST the bill to stop workplace sexual harassment ❌ Stack the party with anti-abortion politicians - some opposing termination even in cases of rape ❌ Push “pro-family” policies that put women back in the home I guess the question is… Do you hate immigrants more than you love your rights?

Addey, you’re missing the point. The big changes people are feeling; sky-high housing costs, NHS queues, stagnant wages, and strained services — accelerated massively after years of uncontrolled mass immigration, not Brexit itself. Non-EU countries like Switzerland, Norway, Australia, and Canada manage controlled borders and don’t have the same scale of problems. Britain’s issues stem from open-door policies, net zero costs, and high taxes/long-term mismanagement by both major parties. Brexit gave us the chance to control our borders and make our own rules. The failure wasn’t leaving the EU, it was the establishment refusing to actually do it. British voters can see what’s happening around them very clearly. That’s why they’re rejecting the old parties. 🇬🇧

No, Ian. That’s a flat-out lie, Reform UK has never said they want to “do away with the NHS.” They want to save it by: • Cutting the massive bureaucracy and waste • Stopping the hotel migrant racket that’s draining resources • Recruiting more British doctors and nurses • Using the private sector to clear backlogs faster The NHS is collapsing under endless demand from record migration and poor management. Reform’s plan is about making it sustainable and putting British patients first again, exactly what working-class voters actually need. Spreading smears won’t change the fact the current system is failing. 🇬🇧

Spot on, Leslie. Alice, for 14 years the Tories talked a good game on immigration but delivered record highs ;net migration exploding, little real control, and the same establishment consensus. Reform didn’t exist as a serious force back then. Now they do, and they’re the only party actually pledging to stop the boats, deport foreign criminals, and put British people first on housing, wages and services. That’s why voters in those same struggling areas are switching in huge numbers. The old parties had their chance and failed. Time for real change. 🇬🇧

Claudia, rose-tinted glasses much? Gordon Brown was the Chancellor who sold off half of Britain’s gold reserves at rock-bottom prices ,one of the worst financial decisions in modern history. As PM he presided over the tail end of the biggest debt binge in peacetime, helped create the conditions for the financial crash, and then had to nationalise banks with taxpayer money. “Brilliant and respected”? He left office with the economy on its knees and a note saying “I’m afraid there is no money.” The working class remember the reality, not the Guardian rewrite. That’s why they’re abandoning Labour in droves. 🇬🇧

Wrong. Pensions are not welfare , they’re money people have paid in through National Insurance over decades. Reform has repeatedly said they will protect pensioners. What needs slashing is the explosion in working-age benefits, disability claims (now heading to a million children), and a welfare system that too often makes not working pay better than working. That’s exactly why so many traditional Labour areas with high benefit dependency voted Reform — they want real change, not more of the same dependency trap. Farage’s pledge is about fixing a broken system, getting people who can work back into work, and making welfare sustainable again. The status quo is what’s unaffordable. 🇬🇧

Many of the places with the highest number of people claiming benefits and pensions voted Reform yesterday. Nigel Farage has pledged to cut all benefit spending by 1/3rd, far more than any other party. To do this he will have to slash and freeze ALL benefits including pensions.

This is embarrassing for Britain. A Polish presidential candidate, travelling with his wife and kids for a weekend trip, gets detained for 3 hours at the airport and grilled over his political speeches. The same country that loves lecturing the world about “democracy” and “free speech” is now flagging and questioning foreign politicians based on what they say. Who exactly is running these “additional checks”? And since when does Britain treat democratically elected candidates like potential threats for having the “wrong” opinions?

This is completely unsustainable. A record one million children on disability benefits next year, while ordinary working families are squeezed dry with high taxes, energy bills and stagnant wages. We’ve created a system where staying on welfare is increasingly more comfortable than working and now it’s hitting the next generation hard with over-diagnosis and perverse incentives. Candice is right. Hard-working Brits are footing the bill for a welfare explosion that’s breaking the country. Time to reform the whole thing: proper checks, get people who can work into jobs, and put British families first again. 🇬🇧

😂 The most delusional man in Britain, hands down. In 8 more years of Starmer we can look forward to: • The population hitting 80 million while native Brits become a minority in their own cities • Energy bills so high we’ll be burning copies of the net zero strategy to keep warm • Every high street turned into a branch of Greggs crossed with a kebab shop • Pensioners choosing between heating and eating while Starmer lectures us about “fairness” • And Reform winning by a landslide in 2029 because the country finally hits breaking point Mate, the only thing still standing in 2034 will be the migrant hotels. The rest of us will be voting to end the nightmare. 🇬🇧
