I can’t believe she’s going! Carol is such a lovely human being. She is kind, caring, friendly, fun and just brilliant at her job. She will be sorely missed by the whole @BBCBreakfast team and millions of viewers. Whenever we did an outside broadcast together everyone wanted to speak to Carol and she gave me such a warm welcome to the breakfast sofa and we have remained great friends. I wish her every success going forward, I’ll be reading her books and I hope she enjoys throwing her alarm out of the window.
